Run II

We had a great run this morning! The kids ran the whole 3.1 miles with Ryan and finished 1st in their age groups! We were all so excited and proud! They got medals and everything. I still can not believe they made the whole thing! Our back-up plan was for me to bring the wagon around to them after I had finished in case anyone needed a ride to the finish but when I got to them they were all still jogging along. They insisted they could finish so, it ended up that we all got to cross the finish line together! :)

As for me personally, I loved it! This was my first 5k ever and my first time to run "competitively" for time in probably 15 years! I got first in my age group too with a time of 32 minutes 58 seconds. God sent me a friend to run with about halfway through the race so we ended up chatting and running together the last half of the race. We really crossed together but I guess my leg touched the finish line first or something! My first photo finish! hahaha :) Anyway, she and I are going to try to run together once in awhile and do another 5k in Feb. for sure together. Neat!

Thanks Aaron for all the encouragement and support! I am so glad I ran it and am officially addicted! Maybe I will run that 1/2 marathon with you someday after all!

What an amazing accomplishment for you and the kiddos! I am proud of y'all too! You never cease to amaze me. You have so many wonderful attributes and talents. You are beautiful inside and out, and I love to keep up with how you and your fam are doing. I miss you!

BTW, I do remember when your house was broken in to! That was all so scary! It's just too bad that people do the things they do. Bryan and I joked that maybe they listened to the Christian music on the I-pod that they stole. And wouldn't that be cool if the Holy spirit convicted them and they repented?!? It seems far fetched, but I know God does work in mysterious ways!!
